POLICE REPORTS
April 12:
While playing at Salishan Park some children
discovered an Easter egg which contained two razor blades.
The children were wise enough to show the object to their
mother who reported it to police. A torn aluminum pop can
was also found in the play area of the park. An officer
destroyed the items.

12:
Complainant reported her daughter had run away after
getting in trouble for being suspended from school. Officer
located the runaway at the home of one of her friends
and took her back home. Two hours later the complainant
called back to report her daughter had run away again.
Officer located the daughter walking down the street.
Officer returned the daughter home. The parents secured
the daughter’s
room so she could not run away again. Officer cleared
with no further incident.

12:
Officers responded to a 911 hang up call at a residence
in the 500 block of 8th Street. Following an investigation,
a 17-year-old boy was arrested for assaulting his mother
and for being a minor in possession of alcohol by consumption.
He was placed into juvenile detention.

11:
Officers were contacted when several people noticed
their cars had been keyed. At least 13 cars were keyed
over the weekend. There are no suspects at this time.

10:
A woman was preparing to move to another state with
her two kids. Her 14-year-old daughter decided she did
not want to go and ran away. Officers searched the area
and discovered she was hiding at a friend’s
house. She was picked up and returned to her mother
just in time to catch the bus for their trip.
