REPORTS
March 6:
An officer responded to a customer dispute at a business
in the 300 block of Third Street. A patron was pumping
fuel into his vehicle when some gas back-flowed from the
fuel tank, spilling on the outside of the vehicle and ground
below. The patron felt he should get a two gallon discount for the fuel that
had spilled, and when the store manager declined the discount, the patron refused
to pay for all of the dispensed fuel. The patron was advised he would need to
pay for the fuel he pumped and that the business was not responsible. The bill
was paid.

6:
Dispatch reported two teenagers spray painting the
front of a business in the 1700 block of H Street. Three
juveniles were contacted at the back of the business
spraying Silly String from cans. The juveniles had also
littered by throwing the empty cans and lids in the parking
lot. The juveniles were directed to clean up the mess
they had created and to deposit the empty cans/lids into
a garbage can. They complied and were warned about malicious
mischief and littering laws. The kids’ parents were
contacted and advised of the report.

6:
A person called to report that a dog was being kept
in a vehicle and not being cared for. Officers responded
and found the dog in the vehicle. The animal appeared
alert, healthy and cared for. Officers contacted the
owner and found that due to a temporary problem with
housing, the dog was unable to be inside at night. According
to the owner, the dog spends the daytime out of the car
with him. The owner’s story seemed to be consistent
with the dog’s
condition. Officers cleared without incident.

5:
Officers followed an erratically driven vehicle in
a residential neighborhood late at night, and contacted
the driver when she pulled over to the side of the road.
Her driver’s license
was suspended and she was arrested. A search of the vehicle
incident to arrest uncovered marijuana, glass pipes,
a bong, and prescription medication. The vehicle was impounded
and the driver was booked into jail on felony drug possession
charges.

5:
USBP
reported the possibility that illegal aliens were being
picked up by a taxicab at a local gas station in the
300 block of Alder Street. An officer found a taxi
dropping off people with lots of luggage at a motel.
USBP was advised.

A Blaine Officer received a warrant for a 44-year-old
Blaine resident for probation violation in regards
to a domestic violence incident. The person was located
and arrested. During the arrest officers found marijuana
and drug paraphernalia on his person. The resident was booked into
jail.

5:
Complainant reported a man had been causing a disturbance
in her store in the 200 block of Marine Drive and did
not leave until she called the police. Complainant requested
the man be located and told not to return to the business.
An officer located the man, told him he was no longer
allowed in the complainant’s
store and advised him about the laws regarding disturbing the peace.
The gentleman said he was very sorry and promised not
to go back to the business. Officer cleared with no
further incident.

Officers responded to a simple assault that had taken
place between two students. At the request of the victim
and their parents, the school will handle the incident.
