REPORTS
July 14:
Complainant in the 400 block of C Street reported her ex-boyfriend
has come to her house, knocking on all of her windows and
saying he was not leaving until she talked to him. She requested
the police inform her ex that he is not to return to her
house. Officer located the ex and informed him he was no
longer allowed on complainant�s property. The boy told the
officer that he would not return.
July
14:
An officer responded to a report of a group of men who were
changing their clothing in the 2000 block of 2nd Street.
It was reported that some of the men were undressing to
their underwear. The men were fully dressed when the officer
arrived. They explained they were changing into nightwear
and didn�t know anyone was watching. The incident was documented.

13:
While on patrol, an officer observed a person urinating
on the wall of a service station in the 200 block of F Street.
The individual was contacted and he stated that there was
a long line for the restroom. It turned out the individual
was second in line for the restroom. The Ontario resident
was arrested for disorderly conduct, cited and released.

13:
A citizen felt she had been flimflammed by a local merchant
while exchanging foreign currency. The citizen was advised
that it was a civil matter.

13:
A citizen in the 300 block of B Street reported hearing
a father yelling at his children and requested a welfare
check. Officers contacted the family and determined the
children were okay. The father was disciplining one child
for hitting another and that was the main source of the
noise. Officer advised the parent of the noise complaint
and told him that since this appeared to be an on-going
problem, criminal charges may follow any further incidents.
July
13:
Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Peace Portal
Drive after a woman reported a strange man was pounding
on the windows of her vehicle while she was inside it. Both
parties were contacted and it was determined that the man
was upset because he was being kept awake by the sound of
a car door being frequently opened and closed. The man believed
the woman was the cause of the noise. The parties agreed
to stay away from each other.
July
11:
Officers were dispatched to a possible physical domestic
in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. Officers arrived and
found a father and daughter were rough housing. There were
no signs that it was anything more than playing around.
Officers cleared without incident.

11:
Officer observed a vehicle stopped on the freeway by the
Mitchell Street overpass. Citizen reported that a juvenile
on the overpass broke her windshield. The offending juvenile
was contacted and arrangements were made to recover the
cost.

10:
A Blaine officer assisted the U.S. border patrol with the
apprehension of two men in the 100 block of Marine Drive
who concealed themselves on a train and entered the U.S.
illegally.

10:
A resident in the 700 block of Peace Portal Drive reported
that a man left a tavern and was disturbing the peace by
talking loudly. Officers contacted the happy man and advised
him of the complaint and offered him a ride home. The man
declined the offer and walked home. No further complaints.

10:
A citizen reported a vehicle struck his fence causing damage
in the 600 block of 9th Street. The driver of the truck
did not remain at the scene.

10:
A business owner in the 200 block of Martin Street found
a cutting instrument in the parking lot of his closed business.
He turned it into police because he didn�t want it falling
into the wrong hands. The item was booked into safekeeping.
July
10:
A person phoned police to report a suspicious man wandering
around some businesses in the 100 block of C Street. They
said he appeared to be a transient and they were worried
that he may be thinking about setting up a camp. Officers
checked the area but were unable to locate the subject.

10:
A U.S. Customs inspector intercepted a motorist who admitted
to possessing 24 tablets of a Schedule III anabolic/androgenic
steroid without a prescription. A Blaine officer investigated
the incident and submitted the case to county prosecutor
for review.
July
10:
A person escorted a found dog in the 1500 block of Madison
Avenue to the police department. The found dog had no identification
and was turned over to the humane society.

10:
Complainant reported $500 worth of damage to his vehicle
in the 200 block of Marine Drive. Complainant had parked
the vehicle in a parking lot and found the damage when he
returned to the vehicle. The front of the hood and fender
had been scratched up.

8:
A citizen in the 1100 block of Adelia Street reported her
garbage can was vandalized sometime during the night. There
are no suspects at this time. The citizen requested the
incident be documented and extra patrol be provided.

8:
An employee at a business in the 9500 block of Semiahmoo
Parkway reported finding a suspicious letter. The business
requested an informational report be taken in case further
incidents should occur. Officer took note and cleared with
no further action taken.

8:
A citizen in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue reported receiving
harassing phone calls. It is believed the calls are intended
for a former tenant. Extra patrol was requested.
