REPORTS
March 24:
Officers assisted federal agents in apprehending a subject
who illegally crossed the border into Blaine and was in
possession of 31 pounds of marijuana. USBP and DEA assumed
custody of the person and the drugs.

24:
A resident in the 200 block of 11th Street reported she
was watching her neighbor�s house while they were on vacation.
She observed a man arrive in a truck and enter the house.
The resident recorded the truck�s license plate, which returned
to be the neighbor�s son. An officer checked the residence
and found it secure.

24:
A resident in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue reported
her ruby ring and blue pearl earring vanished from her bathroom
under suspicious circumstances. The antique ring is valued
at $300 and the earring is valued at $50. The incident is
under investigation.

24:
Officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation in
the 1600 block of Peace Portal Drive and learned the driver
who was a minor had taken her parents� car without permission
and did not have a driver�s license. The minor was arrested
and released to her mother. Case forwarded to the juvenile
prosecutor for review.

23:
Officer contacted a driver in the 900 block of H Street
regarding speeding. It was determined the driver was driving
while her privilege to do so was suspended as well as driving
without a required ignition interlock device. Driver was
cited and released with a mandatory court appearance and
the vehicle was impounded.

Officers contacted three juveniles who attempted to run
from them in the 1600 block of Grant Street and found they
were all out after hours without their parents� permission.
They were returned home to their parents.

22:
An off-duty police officer observed a juvenile male throw
something off an overpass in the 500 block of H Street.
Officers contacted the 15-year-old. No damage has been reported
from the reckless endangerment incident. The youth was released
to his parents.

22:
Officers were dispatched to a hit and run in the 1700 block
of H Street, truck vs. private property. Driver was located
and arrested for DUI and hit and run. Vehicle was impounded.

21:
An officer observed a juvenile exit a vehicle with an alcoholic
beverage in his hand. The juvenile was arrested and later
released to parents. Charges pending through juvenile court.
March
20:
A juvenile in the 1000 block of Garfield Street called and
reported a domestic disturbance between his mother and her
boyfriend. Upon arrival of officers, the boyfriend had left
the area. Possible violation of a no contact order is being
investigated.

20:
Complainant reported he found an unknown female sleeping
in his vehicle in the 1500 block of Peace Portal Drive.
Officer removed the female transient from the complainant�s
vehicle and arrested her for trespassing. Officer located
a family member of the subject who made arrangements to
come to get her. The subject was provided a voucher so she
could get a meal while waiting for the family member to
pick her up.

19:
Police received a third party report of a man in a car acting
suspiciously near the school. The man reportedly asked a
child riding a bicycle to school if the child wanted a ride.
The reporting party did not know if the man and child knew
one another. Officers patrolling the area found that the
car and driver had already departed. No license plate number
was provided.

19:
Officer on routine patrol was contacted by a citizen reporting
a loose dog in the 800 block of 8th Street. A house was
located in the same area with its front door open. The homeowner
was contacted and he responded to the residence. Officers
checked the inside of the house and found everything to
be in order. It was determined the dog got out after the
wind blew the door open. The dog was secured by the owner
and the front door was locked.
March
18:
Complainant reported while she and her mother were driving
in the Blaine area, a truck pulled up quickly behind them
and honked its horn several times. She reported the truck
was also getting really close to their bumper. Officer located
the owner and driver of the truck, who stated he used the
horn because the other vehicle was going so slow. Officer
warned the driver about using his horn improperly and following
too closely.

17:
Complainant reported her landlord is moving things around
in her apartment without her permission. Officer contacted
the landlord, who denied going into the complainant�s apartment.
Case closed pending any additional information.
