November
23: Officer was contacted by a mother in the 600 block
of A Street who reported her ex-husband picked up their
kids earlier than the agreed upon time. Officer took an
informational report for the woman to provide to her attorney.
November 23: An officer stopped a vehicle in the
1900 block of Peace Portal for suspicious activity. Investigation
led to the discovery of various paraphernalia and a small
amount of a substance believed to be methamphetamine. The
driver was also found to have a suspended license. The driver
and his passenger were arrested and the vehicle was impounded.
November 22: Officer observed a vehicle in the 1700
block of H Street being driven by two adult males who were
acting suspiciously by hiding from the officer as he drove
past them. A check on the vehicle license plate listed the
vehicle as stolen. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested
the males without incident. They were booked into jail.
November 22: Officer received a call from a mother
in the 900 block of H Street who wanted to make a report
about her son and his ex-friend who had been arguing. The
mother said the other boy hit her son on the arm and she
wanted to make a report of the incident.
November 21: Officer responded to a possible boat
fire in the 200 block of Marine Drive and assisted fire
personnel with an electrical fire on a commercial fishing
boat.
November 21: A vehicle collided with a deer in the
3500 block of H Street. The animal ran in front of the vehicle
and the motorist did not see it in time due to the fog.
The motorist was not injured, but her car was dented. The
deer entered the woods and was not located.
November 20: Officers saw a person walking in the
1300 block of H Street early in the morning. The person
appeared to be lost. Officers contacted the person who had
been denied entry into Canada and was looking for Dennys.
Officers provided directions.
November 20: A citizen reported a possible injured
deer in the 100 block of Drayton Court. Officers arrived
to check on the deer, but it was gone. A witness reported
it had run into the woods.
November 20: A resident reported finding a home stereo
component and a bag in the bushes behind her home in the
700 block of Adelia Street. The property was impounded.
November 20: A business in the 100 block of Marine
Drive filed a report with police regarding phone harassment.
An employees ex-wife has been calling and harassing
the business. She made threats to harm the business
reputations. Officers are investigation and will forward
charges for review.
November 20: A business in the 100 block of Marine
Drive reported $1,800 worth of TVs were missing from their
store. Case is under investigation.
November 19: A citizen in the 1300 block of Blaine
Avenue reported his car was broken into and a Kenwood compact
disc stereo was taken. Case under investigation.
November 19: Officer received a report from a citizen
in the 8600 block of Blue Grouse Way that someone had stolen
a radio antenna from his vehicle. Case under investigation.
November 19: A citizen turned in a CD carrier and
miscellaneous CDs that were found in the 1200 block of Harrison
Avenue. The property was impounded and will be cross referenced
to stolen property reports in hopes of locating the owner.
November 19: Officer was contacted by a citizen in
the 1500 block of Bayview Avenue that someone had damaged
city property in front of her house. Cement blocks in a
retaining wall were destroyed. A report was forwarded to
public works so repairs could be made.
November 18: The theft of a license plate was reported
in the 1200 block of Mitchell Street. The plate was entered
into law enforcement databases.
November 18: A man parked his Blazer at a Blaine
residence in the 1000 block of Adelia Street and left the
vehicle unlocked. He returned and discovered someone had
taken $20 from his wallet and CDs valued at $300. An investigation
is ongoing.
November 18: A resident in the 500 block of 8th Street
reported her husbands ex-wife called her six times
in one day and harassed her. The resident said she will
inform her attorney of the incident and request an anti-harassment
order. An officer documented the incident which involves
an out-of-state suspect.
November 18: A person in the 500 block of 8th Street
phoned police to report that a relative took her car without
permission. The victim wishes to press charges against the
suspect.
November 16: An officer cited a driver for speeding
53 in a 35 mph zone. The Blaine court clerk advised that
the driver had a suspended license at the time he was cited...
