February
15: An officer responded to an aid call in the
400 block of C Street where a subject was having breathing
difficulties. The officer stood by until medics arrived.
February 14: An officer stopped a driver for a traffic
violation in the 1800 block of Peace Portal Drive. The driver
was issued an infraction for no proof of insurance.
February 14: Officers responded to the Peace Arch
POE for a person in possession of a controlled substance.
After testing the substance, the person was arrested on
felony charges and booked into Whatcom County jail.
February 14: Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding
in the 1000 block of Peace Portal Drive and discovered the
driver had a suspended license. He was arrested and issued
a criminal citation. The vehicle was impounded.
February 13: While on a traffic stop, an officer
discovered a passenger of a vehicle had a local warrant.
The officer placed the subject in custody and transported
her to the Blaine municipal court.
February 13: A student reported his BMX bicycle was
stolen from the bike rack behind the Ken Waters Gym while
he was at play practice the previous afternoon. There are
no suspects at this time.
February 13: An officer responded to the Peace Arch
POE for a suspended driver. The officer confirmed the driver
was suspended and issued him a criminal citation with a
mandatory court date. The drivers vehicle was impounded.
February 13: A subject reported losing a passport
somewhere between US Bank and the post office. A report
was taken for informational purposes only.
February 13: A U.S. Customs inspector working at
the Lynden border crossing observed a man driving with a
suspended drivers license. A Blaine officer assisted
WCSO by citing the subject to Whatcom County district court.
February 13: An officer received an assault report
from a Blaine resident in the 600 block of 9th Street. Officers
took statements from the reporting party. The case is under
investigation.
February 13: Blaine officers confirmed that a Blaine
resident in the 300 block of Alder Street had two felony
warrants. Officers contacted the subject and arrested her
on the warrants. A search was performed and drug paraphernalia
was found. She was issued a citation for the paraphernalia
and booked into Whatcom County jail on felony warrants.
February 13: A person reported harassment by a former
boyfriend. Officers are still attempting to contact the
suspect. The case is under investigation.
February 13: An officer responded to the 1300 block
of Boblett Street in reference to a shoplifter. The officer
conducted an investigation and issued the suspect a citation
for shoplifting.
February 12: An officer responded to a 911 hang up
call in the 1100 block of 4th Street and discovered a verbal
dispute had occurred. The officer advised the subjects of
domestic violence laws. No crime..
