Kathleen (Allison) Prince, age 56, of Blaine, WA died on January 17, 2014, in Ogden, UT. Kathy was born in Seattle on September 3, 1957. She graduated from Sealth High School in 1975, then studied at Linfield College, OR and the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma. Kathleen graduated summa cum laude from UPS in 1979, with a degree in Biology. She was
employed as a research scientist with the Weyerhaeuser Company until 1994, during which time she was awarded patents in the pulp and paper industry. Kathy enjoyed the natural beauty of the Pacific northwest. She was an avid hiker, backpacker, and skier and once ascended Mount Rainier. For many years Kathleen participated in the Big Climb Seattle for the Leukemia society. She was a recent addition to the Semiahmoo community where she made many friends who will miss her joyful laughter, boundless energy, kindness, and generosity. Although Kathleen left us much too soon, she set an example for all to live by and will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved her.

Kathleen is survived by her devoted partner Tom, her two English bulldogs, Katie and Meatball, her parents Jay and Pat Allison of Federal Way, brothers Ken Allison (Joyce) of Trenton N.J., and Bruce Allison (Mary) of Woodinville, WA, and nephews Andrew, Joey and Chris.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
