Everett “Pat” Martin passed on November 28 after suffering a massive stroke; he was surrounded by family and friends during his final days.

Born in Alberta, Canada, his loving parents were Daniel Martin, Reba “Faye” and Stephen “Steve” Sigurdson.

Pat spent most of his life living in Blaine, where many of his family members still reside.

After serving in the U.S. Navy, he spent time working on fishing boats, then became a Teamsters long-haul truck driver until his retirement.

Pat was an avid fisherman, hunter, outdoorsman ... a man’s man.

He is survived by his brother Bob and sister Yvonne, his children Patricia and Michael, grandchildren Juliane, Taylor and Alexandra, three great grandchildren, Carlos (preceding him in death), Roman and Troy, and many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to invite friends to join them for a casual gathering on Sunday, December 9, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Jerns Funeral Chapel, 464 8th Street Blaine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Whatcom Hospice House or to the Blaine Food Bank.
