Frank William Thompson was born June 4, 1926 in Grand Prairie, Alberta, the third child of Edith and Hugh Thompson.
Frank lived in Alberta until moving to Toronto in 1950 to attend Lorne Green’s School of Broadcasting. Frank was a broadcaster, writer, teacher and poet, and his radio career took him to Victoria, San Diego, Seattle and Vancouver.
He is survived by his daughter, Eva Munroe, grandson Frank Hetzel and great granddaughter Natasha Lane.
Frank joined Free Church Unitarian in Blaine in 1990, where he met the love of his life, Virginia Claymore. The two shared several happy years together before her death in 1999.
When Frank’s health began to fail, his daughter moved to Surrey to care for him. Frank was grateful for her loving care.
