Mark Dean Sanders: January 31, 1956 – January 12, 2012

Following a 32 year battle with multiple sclerosis, Mark Dean Sanders is at peace. Mark was born in Bellingham, WA on January 31, 1956 and lived in Blaine for most of his life, he passed away on January 12, at 55. Mark graduated from Blaine High School and loved his family, friends, music, the theater, playing piano and singing. Following graduation he toured Europe with “America’s Youth in Concert.” Mark attended WWU before moving to Scottsdale, AZ and a short career in the banking industry with The Arizona Bank.

Mark is survived by his parents George (Scotty) Sanders and Virginia (Ginger) Sanders of Sun City, AZ, his brother Randy Sanders and wife Susie of Redmond, WA, brother Steve Sanders and wife Julie of Blaine, nieces, Lindsay Sanders of Bellingham and Krista Dy of Essex Junction, VT, nephew, Grant Sanders of Bellingham and great nephew, Elliot Dy of Essex Junction, VT., many cousins, aunts, uncles, and lifelong friends including Mary Lee Hill of Blaine, and Sarah Haggith of Ferndale.

Graveside services will be Friday January 20 at 3 p.m. at Hillsdale Cemetery.  A celebration of life will be planned for later this summer.  Please share your thoughts at the online guest book at "www.jernsfuneralchapel.net.
