Heather Nicole Earl, 23, passed away quietly at home surrounded by family and friends on January 4.
She is survived by her parents Gordon (father) and Debbie Earl of Blaine, WA; Teri (mother) and Danny White of Purcellville, VA; sister Rianna of Bellingham, WA and other immediate family members, Amy White, Daniel White and Andrue Cashman (all from WA state), as well as grandparents David and Charlotte Bradley, and Edwin Handville.
There are also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and more friends than anyone can count all around the country. She is preceded in death by her Grandma Gyla.
Heather was born in Bellingham on March 10, 1988. She traveled around the country after graduating from Blaine High School and settled in Virginia in 2010.
Heather was the epitome of the typical 20-something: free spirit, fun loving, ”I can do anything and WILL do anything I want;” life is a party and forget the negative nellies. She always wanted to live the best life and be the best friend she could. The room always sparkled when she entered. A room full of strangers always became a room full of friends. Heather, who has “I WIN” tattooed not just on her wrist, but engraved in her mind and heart, taught many so much about living.
There will be a celebration of her life at Northwood Alliance in Blaine on January 20 at 5:30 p.m. followed by a party (at her request) at the Pastime Tavern. She wanted her celebrations to be upbeat – she requested that no one wear black. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Heather Earl Baksa Donation Fund at Whatcom Educational Credit Union. This account was set up to help her pay medical expenses during her fight, and now will be used to pay off outstanding bills and funeral expenses. Any remaining funds will be donated to the local animal shelter and The Boys and Girls Club.
