Janice G. Carpenter

Beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010 in Bellingham after a courageous battle with cancer. She was our Muzzie, our “Ant Nice”. Born in Bellingham on April 1, 1935, she was a life-long area resident, living in Blaine the past 30 years.

Janice is survived by her husband Lee of 59 years, daughters Lee Ann (Don) Rohweder of Seattle, and Kim (Rob) Woods of Bellingham, two sisters, Mary Lee Gillespie (Ralph Akins) of Palm Springs, and Joyce (Don) Lorenz of Ferndale, one niece and six nephews, and eight great nieces and nephews. Son Kip preceded her in death in 1999.

Jan was well known in Blaine where she worked at Wolten’s True Value from the day it opened until the day it closed.
We will miss her generous spirit, infectious sense of humor and her cooking. We would like to thank the staff at Whatcom Hospice for the wonderful care of our Muzzie.

Donations may be made to Whatcom Hospice, Muzzie would like that.
