Michael Sean Smyth
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, son and brother, Sean Smyth, on May 14, 2010. He was born on April 25, 1957 and was 53 years old.
Preceded in death by his mother Norma Smyth (Norma May Clarkson), Sean is survived by his two adult children, Miranda Ziegler 29 and Jamie Fisher 25, both of Blaine; his father Sam, brother Kelly and sister Gael, all from B.C. Canada.
Sean loved his model trains and being out on the lake or in the mountains. When he was diagnosed with MS several years ago, the news was devastating. He could no longer ski, and skiing was his passion. Kayaking was also something he could no longer do and this too disappointed him. After being diagnosed, Sean liked to take long walks and visit with friends and family to keep his body strong and his mind occupied. It is with the greatest sorrow he is no longer with us.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Peace Arch Park (Canadian side) on June 26, 2010 at 2 p.m.
