Regina Marie Stoker of Blaine, WA passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 surrounded by loving family. Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Regina’s life, on Sunday, June 13 in Blaine, at the Pizza Factory, 738 Peace Portal Drive, at 1:30 p.m.
Regina was born to Arnold and Cecilia Saldivia on July 3, 1927 in Brawley, CA. She was 18 when her mother died and she began raising her younger siblings. She married her husband Lannie Joseph (Joe) Stoker on July 14, 1949 and they began a family in 1950. They resided in California until 1960 and moved to Washington state in 1969. Regina worked at Valley General Hospital in Renton in the maternity ward until she retired in 1975. In the spring of 1991 they moved to Blaine to live with her daughter Debra and son-in-law, Marv Adam.
Regina enjoyed gardening, crocheting and traveling with her husband and family. When not traveling she spent her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. As a dedicated Jehovah Witness, Regina greatly enjoyed and appreciated her association with the Witnesses while serving Jehovah.
Preceded in death by her loving husband Lannie Joseph Stoker, mother, father and brother Arnold Saldivia, and a great grandson Taymen Padilla. She was the oldest of 5 children and she has 3 surviving sisters, Hazel Rhynes & husband Ace, Helen Hopkins & husband John and Patricia Frampton; four daughters Pamela Drake and husband Gordy Maggs, Debra Adam and husband Marv, Terri Bishop & husband Phil, and Robin Morrow and husband Mike; grandchildren Kelly & Sarah Drake, Jennifer Crawford, Daniel Austin, Gabrielle & Anthony Morrow, Maria Kosmann, Terri Kesterke, Bob Adam, Shauna, Brandon & Justin Maggs, Lindsey, Michelle & Whittney Bishop; and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
