Come take a magical trip on a flying carpet with Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and 43 Blaine students as the Blaine combined high school and middle school drama clubs present Disney’s Aladdin, Jr.

This stage adaptation of the Disney movie classic Aladdin will bring Agrabah, the City of Enchantment, to the Performing Arts Center this month, taking viewers on an enchanted adventure, as Aladdin, with the help of his genie friend, attempts to win the hand of Princess Jasmine while fending off the evil Jafar.

Thursday evening performances at 7 p.m. on January 9 and 16 will feature middle school actors, and Friday and Saturday performances at 7 p.m. on January 10, 11 and 17 will feature the talents of high school students.

There will also be a matinee performance on January 18 at 2 p.m. featuring the high school cast.

Disney’s Aladdin Jr.’s tuneful, accessible Academy Award-winning score, with songs by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, including “A Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me,” will send audiences soaring.

The lobby opens at 6:15 p.m. evenings and 1:15 p.m. for the matinee. Hop a camel and come witness the pomp and parade of Prince Ali and his comic blue genie and all the show tunes from the hit Disney movie.

Tickets are $5 at the Performing Arts Center door.
