It’s that time of year again.

The Blaine Boys & Girls Club is kicking off fall with their annual fundraiser on Saturday, September 28, but this year it’s going to be a little different.

Instead of holding the event at Semiahmoo like it has in the past, the club is bringing the party home and giving donors the opportunity to see exactly where their money is going and how it’s impacting the Blaine community.

“There are many people who have never even stepped into the club before,” said director Joel Todd. “This is a great chance for them to see the work we’re doing.”

The fundraising event will be casual, and dinner will consist of salmon and crab donated from local fisherman, carnival games, a silent auction, raffles and a live auction with local realtor Mike Kent calling the shots.

“It’s going to be amazing,” Todd said. “After dinner and the auction, we’ll have a live band and open the dance floor. It’s going to be a good evening.”

Dress is casual and wine and beer will be available. The Replayzmentz are scheduled to provide the music for the event.

The event will be held Saturday, September 28 and begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Blaine Community Center at 763 G Street.

Tickets are $45 per person and seating is limited. To RSVP, call Todd at 360/332-3008.
