Each year Cascade Cuts opens their wholesale nursery to the public for a single day as a fund raiser for the Sustainable Connections Food and Farming Program. This program supports new farmers, connects eaters and food buyers to local farms and fishers and is a resource for building a sustainable local food economy.

The nursery will be offering a variety of large hanging baskets, annuals, perennials, herbs, organic vegetable starts and even a few oddities. This is a unique opportunity to fill your gardens and containers with color while supporting a local nonprofit organization.

Snacks for purchase and free musical entertainment will be available at the event.

Parking this year will be limited, so it best to carpool or wait until the afternoon to shop, as it is less hectic, the lines are shorter and there are just as many plants to choose from. Volunteers are always needed for this event. Contact Erin@sconnect.org if you’d like to help.

The sale will be held Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cascade Cuts, 632 Montgomery Road in Bellingham.
