The Garden of the Salish Sea: Education and Community Outreach program will be offering public tours of the Drayton Harbor Community Oyster Farm on Thursday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The 45-minute tours offer participants an opportunity to take the historic Plover ferry to the community oyster farm barge. Captain Sam Clemens will provide historical information during the trip.

Once at the oyster farm barge, there will be demonstrations of oyster farming and harvesting by manager Steve Seymour. Oysters will also be available for sale.

Tours will leave at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. from Blaine Harbor Gate 2.

Fare is by recommended donation: $5 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under.
