What a wonderful thing that April is here!
All around new activity is awakening with life’s springtime renewal and Blaine Senior Center is no exception.
A very popular and important event is the annual spring rummage sale – it’s a great opportunity to do spring housecleaning while contributing to the center.
Drop off your rummage sale items through Thursday, April 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the sale will be held Saturday, April 6. The doors will open at 8 a.m. and you will be sure to find many valuable and useful items. Come early as you wouldn’t want to miss this.
The pancake breakfast will be Saturday, April 20, from 8 to 11 a.m., with pancakes, waffles, French toast or biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee, tea and orange juice. What a great breakfast and for only $6 for adults and $4 for children.
Looking ahead into May, the May Springtime High Tea is on Sunday, May 5, featuring sandwiches, scones, entertainment, prizes and a silent auction. Tickets are available at the Blaine Senior Center and all are welcome.
Daily meals are served at the center, and community support for this program is vitally important for government funding. We strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of these meals, so that we can continue providing them.
Have a wonderful April and enjoy it to the fullest.
