The state of Washington is filled to the brim with small craft distilleries. From Lynden to Spokane and back again, these niche operations have cropped up with their own unique takes on whiskey.
The Whiskey A-Go-Go event, hosted by Whiz-Bang Events on Saturday, March 30, will give participants the opportunity to personally experience the aromas, flavors and signature notes created by some of these regional distillers as part of a Habitat for Humanity Whatcom County fundraiser.
Bringing together seven of Washington’s craft distilleries for an evening of fun featuring live music by Lost At Last, whiskey flights, UpFront Theater comedians and appetizers by Crave Catering, the event offers the opportunity for everyone to savor something new.
“We really want to bring awareness to these craft distilleries and help them become better known,” said event organizer Shelley McClanahan.
BelleWood Acres Distillery, Wishka River Distillery, It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere Distillery, Woodinville Whiskey Company, Golden Distillery, Bainbridge Organic Distillery and Fremont Mischief Distillery will be represented at the fundraiser.
The Fireside Martini Bar will also offer demonstrations on how to make whiskey cocktails throughout the evening and some distilleries will also be offering brandies and infused vodka to try.
Whiskey A-Go-Go is open to those aged 21 and older. The event will be held Saturday, March 30 from 7 to 11 p.m. at Baker Creek Place at 1650 Baker Creek Place in Bellingham. Advance tickets are $40. Tickets at the door will be $50.
