Carroll Solomon will be retiring on March 31 after 17 years working for the Blaine Visitor Information Center (VIC). Solomon
has served as the VIC manager for the last 14 years and has also managed a volunteer program that keeps the VIC open seven days a week for the majority of the year to provide customer service to city of Blaine visitors.

As well as managing the VIC, Solomon is a major organizer of the Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration and participates
in the planning and organization of the majority of Blaine events. She also serves as secretary for the Blaine Chamber of Commerce and is on the board of the Friends of the Blaine Library. “Carroll is dedicated to everything she does,” said Bob Boule, Blaine chamber president.

“I have loved working at the Visitor Center because I have met people from all over the world. It has been a joy to tell them about Blaine,” Solomon said.

After retiring, Solomon plans to continue working at the VIC as a volunteer for the Blaine chamber. The city of Blaine will host a retirement reception for her on Monday, March 25 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in the city council chambers on the fourth floor of the Banner Bank building located at 435 Martin Street. Everyone is invited to wish her well. For more information call 360/543-9982.
