What wonderful news, the month of March has arrived! That means spring is coming even closer and will soon be right here among us. Winter rain is nice and we wouldn’t want to be completely without it since it does make our corner of the world so beautiful, but let’s prepare for all those promised longer brightest days of sunshine.
The Blaine Senior/Community Center is here with great nutritious lunches, friendly fellowship, exciting activities, useful information and so much more. Many members have been seen working out in the well-equipped gym and getting ready for spring and activities.
We are thankful for our gym with all its equipment and the center’s friendly guidance and instruction in using it.
A very special thank you goes to all the people who have given finances, time and energy in maintaining and improving the center. There are many volunteers and each month the center chooses to especially remember one of them. Peggy Armijo is the honored volunteer for February. When asked to help with special events or other areas, Peggy always lends a helping hand if she can.
To those who are thinking of joining Peggy said, “People should join because there are a lot of good activities to keep fit, there are great programs and to enjoy the camaraderie at the center.” Thanks Peggy and all of the other faithful volunteers.
