Mix it up with Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt in Bellingham on March 16 and 17 and you’ll be supporting the Blaine High School’s drug- and alcohol-free senior grad night.
The frozen yogurt chain has agreed to donate 20 percent of their proceeds to the Blaine senior grad night.
Senior grad night, which is hosted by parents of the seniors, is a longstanding tradition at Blaine High School. “It’s an all night drug- and alcohol-free party,” said senior mom Sandie Reese. “We put it on in the interest of keeping the kids safe and keeping them all together.”
The party, which is orchestrated by the parents and held at an undisclosed location, allows the high school seniors to spend the evening together one last time before they part ways. “Some of these kids will never see each other again,” Reese said. “So it’s a great way to send them off.”
To participate in the fundraiser take a copy of this week’s edition of The Northern Light or one of the senior grad night flyers into Menchie’s, located at 1070 Lakeway Drive, Bellingham on March 16 or 17.
You can also show the BHS senior grad night Facebook page on your smartphone at the counter.
Flyers are available at the high school office, Little Caesar’s and Hot Wings.
“It’s really awesome that Menchie’s is willing to do this for us,” Reese said.
