The North Cascades Concert Band will be playing at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, December 1, in the Blaine Schools’ Performing Arts
 Center.

The 50-piece band will be joined by the Blaine High School Wind Ensemble for a brief performance.

Their winter program, “Remembering 2012,” is under the direction of Rob Pattermann and will include familiar favorites as well as exciting new pieces. In memory of composer Marvin Hamlisch (1944-2012) the band will perform selections from “A Chorus Line.”

Tickets can be purchased at Piper Music in Bellingham, at Village Books in Fairhaven or at the door.

A portion of the proceeds will fund the Blaine High School Wind Ensemble’s January trip to Japan. Adults $12, seniors $10, students $5. For more information, visit North Cascades Concert Band at nccband.org.
