Drivers in Whatcom County can get their vehicles’ lights inspected and replaced free of charge on October 6 as part of the Automotive Service Association’s (ASA) annual Lights On event.

There will be two locations open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. that Saturday, located at Bellingham High School’s south parking lot (2020 Cornwall) and Everson Elementary School (216 Everson Goshen Road).

Auto service shops around the county including Bellingham Auto Parts and Everson’s Seattle Automotive Distributing donated replacement bulbs, which will be installed free of charge.

ASA shop workers and Bellingham Technical College students will be inspecting vehicles and installing new lights.
Last year more than 300 vehicles stopped were inspected and technicians installed over 700 replacement bulbs.

This year’s event will be the 39th for Lights On.
