The Blaine Senior Center is hosting a rummage sale this weekend with all proceeds supporting activities at the center.
Senior center director Dana Hanks said past rummage sales have raised about $2,000. The center will be taking donations of all manner of household items up until Thursday, April 12.
“We’re not taking clothing or large appliances,” Hanks said. “But if [donors] are in doubt, they should check with us. We’re pretty liberal.”
The rummage sale will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 14. Everyone in the community is welcome to buy and donate items.
The center will also be hosting another sale in the fall, at which members of the community can rent tables for $15. Hanks said both sales are good ways for members of the community to sell unwanted items and make sure they go where they’re needed.
“It’s a nice thing for the community in both instances,” Hanks said.
