Some really big things are happening this month at the Blaine Senior/Activity Center.

• The tremendously big annual rummage sale on October 8 begins at 8 a.m. for the early risers and closes at 3 p.m. It is always a great event with many people bringing in an abundance of treasures.

• Also remember the pancake breakfast on Saturday, October 15. Bring the whole family.

• Thursday, October 6 at 12:15 p.m. enjoy a singalong and piano with Trudi Norquist. Also on Octoer 6 is the first Christmas Bazaar Committee Meeting. There is a need for lots of volunteers for this big-time event, which happens December 2 and 3.

• Tuesday, October 11, enjoy an organ and piano tour at Don Stagg’s. Sign up at the center to go to his home to tour the extensive collection of pianos and organs. His oldest organ is from the 1840s, and he has two pipe organs. He started playing organ in 1935. Don’t miss it! The folks who went last year were thrilled! Come hear and see his 11 pianos and 22 organs. Meet at the center at 12:30 to carpool.
