Mike and Steve Dodd were honored with awards from the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association District #1 at the district’s fall forum Wednesday, September 21, in Mount Vernon.

Mike Dodd received the Hal Moe Award for his lifetime service including 30-plus years as a Blaine school board member, 20-plus years as a coach and game announcer for the Borderites and more than 35 years of community support.

Steve Dodd received the Dave Duvall Award for his 35-plus years of coaching, supporting, assisting and sponsoring Blaine athletics and school events at all levels.

The Dodds each received a plaque honoring their achievements as well as lifetime passes to any WIAA District #1 event.
