Whatcom County road maintenance crews will be out this Thursday and Friday chipsealing several roads in the Blaine area.
Crews will be working on Bell Road between Peace Portal Drive and Hughes Avenue, on Pipeline Road between Yew Avenue and Odell and 5th Street between D and C Street. The work will cause minor delays and some road closures, but is dependent upon the weather.
The chipsealing process lays down a thin layer of asphalt mixed with crushed rocks or gravel, called aggregate, across a road’s surface to lengthen its lifespan. County crews chipseal roads across the county about every seven years.
