Those wanting to catch a glimpse of local sustainable homes and landscapes will want to go on Sustainable Connections’ ninth annual “Imagine This!” home and landscape tour next week.

The tour is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 26, and showcases natural, eco-friendly Whatcom County homes and landscapes that feature the latest innovations in green design, reclaimed materials, renewable and solar energy, rainwater harvesting, permaculture and low-maintenance, low-cost landscapes.

This year’s tour also provides highlights of green roof construction and stops at the REPatch Community Garden, which was created to demonstrate sustainability.

Admission is $12 per person and free for children 12 years and younger. Tickets are available at Village Books, the Community Food Co-op, the REStore, Garden Spot Nursery and Bakerview Nursery & Garden Center. For more information, call 360/647-7093.
