A Blaine store offering local chocolates, gourmet and specialty foods and unique kitchen items will host a grand opening next week.

Tabletop Shoppe and Gourmet Specialties owner Peg Cutting moved into a new 900-square foot space earlier this month and will host a grand opening event from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, May 20, at 862 Peace Portal Drive, suite 102.

The shop sells unique cooking and kitchen accessories ranging from curved vegetable peelers to reusable lunch boxes, children’s nylon kitchen utensils designed for small hands, and specialty bruschettas, flavored sea salts, pestos and marmalades.

“I’m trying to seek out fun and interesting tools and items that people really want while keeping the price affordable,” she said.

Cutting said the new location allows for both a larger kitchen and retail space. The kitchen will be available for catering and cooking workshops.

As part of the event, she will be offering samples of food and new and popular items.

New items include candles by Paddywax, home products from Thymes, Lesley Stowe’s Raincoast Crisps and Yuzu-flavored Asian condiments.

Tabletop Shoppe and Gourmet Specialties is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Cutting can be reached at 360/220-0764 or www.tabletop-gourmetspecialties.com.
