The Stafholt Good Samaritan Center in Blaine recently collected more than 700 pounds of food, clothing, toys and supplies to help orphaned children in Japan. Their efforts were part of KIRO radio’s “Operation Airlift Japan,” a program organized by two radio hosts to help children of the Bikou-en orphanage near Misawa, Japan, that was destroyed by recent earthquakes.
