With a total of 75 members, the Blaine Chamber of Commerce experienced a very active year in 2010.

Those events traditionally sponsored or supported by the chamber of commerce have once again been highly successful.  The Bite of Blaine, Wings Over Water, Fourth of July, Drayton Harbor Days and Holiday Harbor Lights, have each brought significant attendance and many positive comments from participants. We have so very much to be proud of in Blaine. The chamber feels privileged to take an active role on making it all happen.

The current recession has continued to present our businesses with a substantial set of barriers to navigate.  It has remained the goal of the chamber board this year to be of greater service and support to both chamber members and the overall business community.

To that end, we once again realized an opportunity to partner with the Center For Economic Vitality (CEV) to continue with seminars covering timely topics.

The participation level in these seminars has remained high and we look forward to additional opportunities of this nature in 2011.

The chamber continues to work on providing a website format that champions Blaine and the surrounding area as a premier destination.  It is the opinion of the chamber board that funds invested in assuring for timely information access via the Internet will pay dividends both short and long term. We encourage you to visit the website often and give us your feedback.

Please consider attending a Blaine chamber luncheon on the first Wednesday of the month, with specific locations and programs accessible on the website.  We are looking forward to an exciting and productive year in 2011, with the anticipation of a turn in the economy and greater prosperity for the Blaine business community.
