RCMP officers responded to the call of a single-car accident at about 9:30 p.m. Officers said the man’s car veered off the road while traveling south and struck a median at the border crossing. The 54-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

While the investigation is ongoing, police suspect the main may have had a medical emergency before he crashed into the median. Drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the accident.
