Those wanting to learn more about the connection between shorelines and the health of the local marine environment will want to attend a free presentation at Birch Bay State Park next week.

Jim Brennan, a marine habitat specialist with Washington Sea Grant will lead a presentation on shoreline ecology at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 4. Participants are invited to bring a snack and learn about the connection between shoreline health and the health of Birch Bay, Puget Sound and the local marine environment.
