Lighthouse Point ribbon cutting Aug. 6

The city of Blaine will celebrate the completion of its Lighthouse Point water reclamation facility with a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. Friday, August 6.

The $30 million plant is located at 272 Marine Drive in Blaine and will feature U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen (D-Washington) as the keynote speaker as well as other federal, state and local officials.

Funding for the project was provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s rural development grant, the Washington state Department of Ecology, Centennial Clean Water and State Revolving Funds, and the Washington State Department of Commerce Public Works Board – Public Works Trust Fund.
