Blaine elementary students will see a new face at their school next year.
The Blaine school district has hired current Edmonds school district administrator Craig Baldwin as the new Blaine elementary school principal.
Blaine superintendent Ron Spanjer said Baldwin was selected from a group of six finalists following two days of interview activities that included staff and community members.
Spanjer added that members of the selection committee were impressed with the overall skillset Baldwin brings to the leadership role.
“Each and every reference contacted underscored the quality of Craig’s educational leadership skills, with an emphasis on his commitment to consistent collaboration in the decision making arena. We are excited to have him joining the team in Blaine,” he said.
Baldwin has served as the vice principal of Madrona K-8 school in Edmonds. He recently completed his doctoral degree at Seattle University.
He will begin his new position in Blaine on July 1.
