The Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association (NSEA) has scheduled two spring Saturday work parties from 9 a.m. to noon at Terrell Creek beginning Saturday, April 10. A second work party is scheduled for Earth Day, Saturday, April 24.
Tools and gloves will be provided along with refreshments from Starbuck’s, The Bagelry, Tony’s Coffee, Rocket Donuts, Erin Baker’s Wholesome Baked Goods and the Community Food Co-op in Bellingham. Sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.
From I-5, take the W. Grandview Road exit and head west. Turn right at the stop sign at Jackson Road. Parking is available in the parking lot at the Birch Bay Bible Community Church on the left. Cross Jackson Road and check in at the NSEA tent. The Chums of Terrell Creek are sponsoring a BBQ lunch with Drayton Harbor oysters after the Earth Day work party on April 24.
