The National Weather Service in Seattle is warning Western Whatcom County residents of strong lowland winds and rain late Wednesday night and Thursday, April 7 and 8.
Weather service officials say there is a potential for a low-pressure center to develop offshore along this front and move northeast across the region, producing strong winds during the day Thursday in the lowlands and heavy snow above 2,000 feet in the Cascade and Olympic mountains.
Officials added, however, there are many factors that can alter the development of a storm. Residents can check www.whatcomcounty.us
for weather updates.
