County pharmacies offer no-cost flu vaccinations

Several Whatcom County pharmacies will offer no-fee H1N1 vaccinations to those who cannot afford to pay. Several pharmacies have entered into agreements with the Whatcom County Health Department to make sure those who cannot afford to pay the H1N1 vaccination administration fee can receive the vaccine. Those requesting no-fee vaccinations will be required to sign a form stating that they cannot afford to pay.

 

Participating pharmacies are:

Haggen at Barkley Village in Bellingham, 2900 Woburn St.

Haggen in Ferndale, 1815 Main St.

Nooksack Valley Drug in Everson, 208 E. Main St.

Safeway in Lynden, 8071 Guide Meridian

Walgreens on Meridian, 4090 Guide Meridian

Walgreens in Ferndale, 1901 Main St.

 

Vaccinations are also available in medical offices, and at H1N1 clinics, which are scheduled throughout the month of January at the health department’s State Street office. Health department clinics are scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday during the month of January at 1500 North State Street. For an appointment, call 676-4593 for an appointment.
