Nooksack River Casino will host a concert series at its new 3,000-seat amphitheater this summer beginning with a free Classic Rock Festival on July 18.
“We have secured an amazing line-up of acts for our inaugural ‘Concerts on the Green’ series,” said Leonard Habig, general manager. “The amphitheater is situated next to Nooksack River with the audience facing the water. It’s truly a beautiful setting for the shows.”
Performances include country artist Gretchen Wilson, The Guess Who, WAR, Loverboy and an oldies tribute festival billed as “Rock ‘n Roll Riot.”
The amphitheater opens to the public on July 18 with a free classic rock festival from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., and featuring tributes to the Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimi Hendrix, as well as founding member of Heart, Roger Fisher, and Goldie McJohn of Steppenwolf.
Tickets prices are $10 and up for the Rock ‘n Roll Riot festival and may be purchased in person at Nooksack River Casino or online. Guests who purchase general admission tickets are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. All shows are all ages. A beer garden and concessions will be available at each event.
Nooksack River Casino is located 15 minutes east of Bellingham on the Mount Baker Highway and features 450 slot machines, 13 table games, a poker room and two restaurants.
