Sterling Dietz to perform magic

Blaine high school’s Close Up program is hosting ”The Magic of Sterling” on Saturday January 17. Sterling Dietz will perform his world-class, award-winning magic shows at 3 and 7 p.m. in the Blaine school district’s PAC. Tickets are $10 each. This is a fundraiser for the Close Up trip, which takes U.S. history students to Washington, D.C. for a week of intense study. While in D.C., they will discuss and debate current events and government policies, both foreign and domestic, with other students from around the country. They will also meet with Washington’s U.S. senators and representative. They will also have the opportunity to listen to and question policy makers, as well as get an inside view of D.C.
