Irene Waters Celebration of Life - Saturday January 10 - 2 to 4 pm
Point Roberts Parks Board and community members invite you to attend a celebration of Irene Waters' life and her lasting contribution to our community.
Irene Ione Waters
February 2, 1924 to January 6, 2009
Irene was an amazingly active woman and a committed volunteer - serving on the Parks Board, the Historical Society and her community faithfully. She retired from her role on the PR Parks and Recreation Board last year after 30 years of service. Her enthusiasm, wit and energy will be sorely missed.
We hope you will join us for this community tribute at the PR Community Centre this Saturday, January 10th, from 2 to 4 pm. Tea and cookies will be served. Please bring your stories of Irene to share.
If you are interested in speaking or volunteering to help with the event, please contact Linda Hughes at 945.0812.
This is a casual community celebration. The family is hosting a Memorial Service on Monday January 12 at Bellingham's First Baptist Church at 2 pm. We encourage people to attend that service if they are able.
Please pass this invitation on to anyone in the community who was touched by Irene - in a big or small way.
