Register children for kindergarten on March 27
The Blaine primary school’s kindergarten registration will be held on Thursday, March 27 in the Blaine primary school multipurpose room from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Children are eligible to enter kindergarten for the 2008-2009 school year if they are turning fiveyears- old on or before August 31, 2008.
Parents can drop by the primary school anytime during the day to enroll your student. A school nurse and both secretaries will be available to answer registration and health questions.
Items needed for registering children are: a copy of the child’s birth certificate and updated immunization records. Updated vaccinations are required before the primary office will accept registration and prior to school beginning in the fall.
If immunizations are not current by March 27 parents may preregister and return the packet when the immunizations are completed. Regulations also require children have a well-child examination by a family physician before the first day of school; there is a 30-day grace period for the wellchild examination.
For any questions or concerns about kindergarten registration, parents may call the Blaine primary school office at 332-1300.
