Birch Bay man opens low-cost computer repair business
Geek squads step aside.
Birch Bay resident Kevin Ketterman is practicing computer repair on the cheap.
The
long-time youth and music teacher for various churches
moved to the area four years ago from Yakima and opened
Birch Bay Computers in September, servicing PC computers,
offering phone consultations and assisting with software
installation.
Ketterman brings 13 years of computer experience to
his business and moved here after he saw Birch Bay
and Blaine needed a computer repair specialist.
Although
Ketterman said he does not work on Macintosh computers
or assist with the use of software programs, he does
provide low-cost phone consultations, drop-off repairs,
virus removal, fresh hardware and software installations
and upgrades.
A self-proclaimed “bi-vocational minister of music
and youth,” Ketterman said he also plans to
pursue his passion for teaching through various churches
in the area. He earned his bachelor of arts degree
in 1979 from the University of Central Missouri and
his master of arts degree in religious education
from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary School
in Fort Worth, Texas.
