Community service recognized...

Andrew Grubb, a senior at Blaine high school, was selected by the Whatcom County North Rotary club to receive the 2007 Youth Service Award for his outstanding efforts in service to school and community. Andrew, along with seven recipients from each of the eight high schools in Whatcom County, was honored at a luncheon on June 7 in Bellingham and received a $500 scholarship. He was commended for following Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self.” Andrew will be attending Pitzer College in Claremont, California in the fall.
