Couple buys Blaine print shop

By Tara Nelson

Two Birch Bay residents have bought the former Pelican Press in Blaine.

Scott and Jacque Peterson acquired the small print and design shop in February, and offer typesetting, graphic design, copy, printing and bindery services.

Jacque brings 17 years of graphic design and print experience to the business, having worked at various Bellingham establishments such as Entertainment News NW, NW Family Magazine and The Print & Copy Factory. Her husband Scott brings nearly 16 years of experience as a professional audio engineer and co-owner of the A Couple of Mac Addicts technical consulting business.

The couple said they plan to continue operating their Macintosh support business out of their home in Birch Bay.

Semiahmoo Lighthouse Print & Design is open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and is located at 372 H Street. They can be reached by calling 332-3023.
