Young At Heart
Our senior and community activity center had a great November and what a Thanksgiving dinner the American Legion spread before us!
Wow! What a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.
Just about everybody experienced the great snowstorm and
had a story to tell when we finally got back into the center
after days of waiting.
Thank you, manager Cam, for dropping by nearly every day
of that storm, working on that snow-covered parking lot.
What a pleasure to get back to the center and discover
that Francis had been hard at work putting up some very
beautiful holiday decorations.
On December 5 we had a wonderful tree decorating party
with hot chocolate, cookies, and spiced apple cider. Live
beautiful harp music set the mood.
We are looking forward in eager anticipation to our busy
December schedule.
In addition to the fun and fellowship there will be those
delicious nutritious meals created by Francis and the kitchen
staff. Also there will be Saturday lunches and a holiday
pancake breakfast December 16. All the while many meals
will be delivered to homebound seniors.
The Christmas birthday party will be on December 21. There
will be homegrown entertainment including singing traditional
Christmas carols. We will be celebrating all December birthdays
at the party.
Christmas dinner for the community will be provided by
the Free Church Unitarian. That is always a great feast
and a very good time of fellowship.
The center will have an open house January 2. It will be
a potluck sprinkled with those treats and goodies you have
to get rid of at home.
We have many ongoing events as well:
Do you wish to be involved? We have plenty of room for
volunteers. Volunteers help make our center a cheerful
inviting place.
