Marc Hurd, a 2002 graduate of Blaine high school, is off to Korea to further his career in Tae Kwon Do.

Marc is a 12-year student of Tae kwon do at the U.S. Tae Kwon Do Academy in Bellingham with branches in Mount Vernon, Ferndale and Marysville. Hurd studied 10 years under six time Korean National Champion and 1986 World Champion Master Uoon Choi. After a 12 day tour of South Korea and China with other students and parents from the U.S. Tae Kwon Do Academy, Marc will remain for a month of training at Yong In University in Seoul with Korean National and Olympic team members.

Marc is currently an instructor in Bellingham. He is looking forward to the challenge of training with some of the best in the world and hopes to experience and knowledge he gains will help him reach his goal of becoming a Tae Kwon Do master.
