Washington state will observe National Preparedness Month, 911 Day, and Weather Radio Awareness Month in September.

A statewide earthquake drill will occur September 14 between 10:45 and 11 a.m., and will coincide with a test of the tsunami warning communications system on Washington’s Pacific coast. Preparedness month campaign materials also are available to download from the EMD website at www.emd.wa.gov.
